“Jamaica Royal” hat collection

2nd generation milliner Marcellas James, of Cinderella Hats, launched her ‘Jamaica Royal’ hat collection in fine style during Mother’s Day brunch, at the Terra Nova Hotel on Sunday May 13th, 2012. 
Hat lovers got a rare treat! Hats were everywhere, hats of every size shape and description. The Terra Nova Club House was transformed into a scene from Royal Ascot, with models draped in designs from Arlene Martin of Drenaluna, and Roxanne Chin of Femheka, complimented by headwear by Cinderella Hats of course! 
Ambassador designate to the Uk Aloun Assamba, the guest speaker, spoke on the importance and tremendous marketing opportunity for Jamaicans at events such as the Royal Ascot where the movers and shakers of the world converge, the opportunity to rub shoulders and make deals with princes & princesses, sheiks and diplomats, the rich and famous, the owners of conglomerates and the fortune 500 company Owners.
Mr. Michael Sibblies, Acting Marketing Manager of Caymanas Park, spoke on the new vision to bring Caymanas up to standard with the more upscale race tracks around the world. This will include among other initiatives; An upgraded lounge, parking and other facilities to suit and attract a more discerning clientele. 
The ‘Jamaica Royal’ hat collection, consist of the most unusual and arresting hats, inspired by the sights, smell, tastes and rhythm of Jamaica. They are grouped in Six (6) distinct categories; 
• Fruits of Jamaica,
• Jamaican Flora & Fauna
• Jamaican Foods
• Jamaican Music,
• Jamaican Places,
• & Things uniquely Jamaican
Each hat is inspired by and named after a particular item in each category. On display at the launch were the ‘Soursop Juiced’ hat, the ‘Montego Bay’ hat, the ‘Reggae’ hat, the ‘Otaheti Apple’ hat, and the ‘Port Royal’ hat.
These Hats are all one of a kind and are suitable for those Very Special Occasions, such as Royal Ascot, Kentucky Derby and of Course our own Caymanas Park. 
Over 200 mother’s who attended brunch at Terra Nova, got an extra Mothers Day gift of fascinators, courtesy of Cinderella Hats.
Also in attendance were specially invited guests; the Senega Ambassador Dr. Nafissatou Diagne, Mrs. Yodit Hylton wife of Minister of Industry & Commerce Mr. Anthony Hylton, and Dr. Wint, of the Jamaican Empire.
